Although we as a nation are recovering slowly from the global pandemic it’s a tough time for most of us and even harder for the voiceless and helpless. Animal rights in a country like India have always been weak where millions live below the poverty line. Ever since the beginning of the pandemic a lot of pet animals have been abandoned due to loss of jobs, death of family members, etc.
The negative impact of the pandemic on the overall economy of the nation didn’t leave India’s animal population and the work of Animal Welfare Trust as well. Animals have lost their access to human interaction and most importantly, food and water on the streets due to the permanent closing of several restaurants.

Animal Welfare Trust doesn’t rescue physically fit animals/dogs. However, we rescue physically unfit or sick animals/dogs who can’t survive independently. We rescue these animals/dogs to get them treated while providing them with love, care, nutrition, treats, supplements and required vaccination, for which Animal Welfare Trust has to spend a minimum of ₹75 per day.
Our Work
